Hi all,
I've a question with regard to bringing the correct clothing and gear with me while taking part in a sail from Panama City to the Galapagos Islands in Jan/Feb. I am taking part in a team of MS folks, as we take the wheel! It's quite exciting, but as I've done a bit of sailing in warm weather areas, I am not sure about the recommendation of bringing a sleeping bag. I think I micro micro blanket will be OK over a silk bag. I understand the bag requirement, as others will be using my berth after. Input please?! Has anyone sailed 500 miles off of the coast of S. America? Thanks Much

Sorry to have missed this until now - had soem friends who've done that very route here this PM. I'll ask them by email. I do remember that they had a lot of rain. Remember too that it is a cold current that makes the Galapagos interesting....so it might not be as warm as you think.
