I see that a couple of Tornados from Marconi are top of the Bart's Bash results chart at the moment. I know that there are still a lot of results to add but you might as well enjoy your moment of glory
141 entries at Marconi was a fine achievement too. I bet the slipway was a bit busy Cheers Sprint Bob PS Where were all your Sprint 15s (just 1) |

I expect there has been a typo in the handicaps because the Hurricane was ahead of the Tornado's in the results submitted..... Although they are using a different handicap, maybe the Tornado is handicapped without the kite. It's important to note that the 141 entries were not only from Marconi, all clubs on the Blackwater gathered together for the event. For Sprint 15's, I know 2 of the sailors were on rescue duty that day. Look forward to seeing the full results published!

As above the Marconi results are actually from the combined Blackwater Sailing club, Harlow Blackwater, Marconi and Stone Sailing club race. Although some results appear to be missing.
There was nearly 150 boats on the start line which made it 'interesting' I'm quite liking the results as apparently I am the 2nd fastest Phantom in the world and still in the top 200 (at time of writing) overall :-) And yes I know 2nd is first loser, but normally I'm much closer to last loser!! |

Corr,
Now that the results have been posted using your local handicaps (which look OK) the results look nothing like those on the Bart's Bash website. This confirms my belief that the Bart's Bash handicapping is highly dubious even when dealing with simple classes - when yachts are considered it must be really flakey. Oh well I guess it is best efforts as the results are secondary to the ££s for charity and the Guinness Record. Perhaps that why the results are being added so slowly too. I see that 3 Sprint 15s took part after all. How did the BB analysis lose 2? Not to worry (too much) Sprint Bob |

Give the boys a chance. The bb results that are posted aren't even at provisional status. In the case of those Tornados I think it will turn out they've been matched to the wrong Tornado class. Once you start thinking globally there are a fair few duplicate class names.
