As the question says, it's very irritating having stupid words you didn't write appear in the place of ones you only might have gotten a bit wrong..

Check the options on your tablet or whatever input device you're using.
I like the spell checker if I can just ignore its suggestions, but the auto-correct had to go - I don't need moronic Americanisms in place of sailing terminology! |

It's the auto correct feature I'm wishing to remove, it's nothing that can be altered on the device I don't think, although I'll check safari..

You use a windoze tablet.. why doesn't that surprise me?
When are you coming to fix my boat? We were going well on Sunday until that cheap (£4.90 for twenty metres) halyard i bought snapped and the kite fell down.. |

Clearly, you appreciate my requirement to use a tablet for serious stuff like Word & Excel, and not just as a flash toy that adds "sent from my trendy bit of kit" to every outgoing e-mail.
You need to be coming up here with the Alto this w/e to the Medway Regatta. Bound to be several Altos out (four last year). Otherwise, I was awaiting a pm from you. |

I guess, if you use it, or it can be used for Excel, mine never could even with programmes allegedly capable, but then that's what the Macbook Air is for, tbh I've never really found a suitable use for the iPad.
