That was my thoughts exactly, it needs collaboration at manufacturing/brand level.

Follow the Solo model... hulls, foils, sails, spars... all from different suppliers marketing as a collective.

It's essentially a box class isn't it?

Having badgered Dan quite a lot about it over the last few months, I'm really looking forward to seeing the finalised boat at the show. The hull in the video is the original Punk one, but it looks like the rig is the halyard version? It'll be very interesting how it compares with the RS, Solo and Laser in terms of price, performance and quality.

Not listed in my show guide either ...

Harken fit out.... ✔︎

Okay, so more news please... proper details, not rumours:

- open or closed sailmakers?
- carbon or alloy boom?
- hull material?
- gnav or normal kicker?
- anticipated (not nail your balls to the wall) fitted hull weight for roof top analysis
- foil material in build?

cheers folks.

Yeah but that evolved is a different era ... can't ever see a new owners-class ever getting off the ground these days ...

And on the stand next to it will be Dan's catamaran, which presumably competes against the RS cat.

It's a hell of a lot more like one than the SMODs with their fixed second tier suppliers being discussed here!!!

Calm down!

Has anyone actually seen the Devoti version of the Punk? Has it retained some or all of the features we all liked about the original? Under-floor centre main, wishbone boom.....

If someone could post something here that constituted actual detail about this it would be great.

Then this thread can veer off on to the usual tangents about how 'split' certain classes are, the 'crapiness' of the PY system, what's good/bad about Solos etc....
