The only hikers ive had any experiance with are the infamous Rooster 3/4s.
I certainly cant fault them on anything except the 'anoying laser wannabe' image they seem to have developed. Worn with lycra overshorts they are still almost as good as new, other than the fading, 2 1/2 years later so the quality cant be faulted either. |

the best hikers are made by a co mpany called Queensport, i dont know if they are found in any chandlers but you can buy them from duncan hepplwhite of scottish sailing, they are by far the best out there, for starters they are used by all the olympians, they have all of the best features rather than just a few found in certain makes, the rossters are perhaps the next best, but the new magic marine ones ive heard are also supposed to be very good.
