There is sort of a trend for long narrow symmetrical looking elegant and photogenic, so let's add the Osprey into the mix..

I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.

Nice, still playing the kite as well  Wink

Wooden boat with all the tricks and the genoa tack in front of the shute, interesting Question

I fear this is turning into a my class is best thread ... seem people only find their own choices attractive ...

The qualities that make something photogenic for me are something with elegant lines that looks pleasing to the eye and looks good when captured in a still.

The 505 seems to win out for me; sleek, nice curves, looks powerful ...

How about the 1928 Manfred Currey 10sq.m. I posted in another topic?

She would have been, no doubt, finished with gleaming varnished mahogany planking...

If you sailed that hull as a two hander with a modern IC rig on (and something more conventional in the steering department) wouldn't you have a delightful inland racer?

505 head and shoulders. Crewed a couple, not my class though in so many ways, if only I was skilled enough to really use one.

Contender upwind is a close second.

Ospreys are nice, but it loses a lot of photogenic points due to the sponsor's stickers.

There are a lot of Scorpions out there with this arrangement...

Plus I suggest the scorpion, some of the wood ones are works of art.

Looks like a disaster about to happen to me, that Osprey, whereas Jim's boat despite it's woodenness looks superb, be nice to see in colour.

Oh and photogenic, all those angles? Sorry as one of the (probably)few actually qualified photographers here (that doesn't include jumped up digiwallers) it's the one area I can call rank on.
