Very 505ish back end. Any idea how long it is? Rig looks like something you might find on an 11 ft beach boat, but the hull from this angle anyway looks quite large...

I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me. |

At a guess, about the same length as a Laser.

Which begs the question: why do we need yet another medium speed, hiking singlehander?
Currently we have:
RS100, RS300, Supernova, Byte, Laser EPS, MX Ray, Blaze, Phantom, Finn, Solo, OK, Streaker, Lightning, Vareo, Harrier & Solution, and, er, Laser. Of which Harrier and Solution look closest? |

It's got a nice wide beam and a good freeboard- so it should be comfy to sit out on. I like the amount of heel in some of those photos- great roll tacking upwind is part of the game I've certainly missed.
Nice open transom and although the rig is clearly a development rig, good to see the central mainsheet and a conventional kicker. Although luff tubes without a zipper may mean only one thing... no halyard, so mast lifting. ![]() ![]() I've no idea who's in it, who it's targeted at, if there's a commercial intention... the market's pretty saturated with unarig adult singlehanders, I;d go so far as to say there's too much choice which has ultimately put people off racing dinghies as they've 'chosen the boat for them' failing to see that handicap racing and high levels of depreciation are waiting around the corner. But whatever, it's nice to see something new that actually looks like a boat, rather than an expensive surfboard with a rudder on the back.

Well now, if the price is anything like what was orginally being talked about, I can understand what the market is. Nicely stealth- the test pilot not wearing Rooster kit!

That's because as far as I am aware the test pilot has nothing to do with Rooster. I know a bit more, but I'm not sure that I should be telling. I'll see if I can persuade someone who knows a bit more about it to spill some beans. |
