The only reason for a vertical bow is if the rules have an overall length but no waterline one. After all, boats like 49ers have a raked stem. Admittedly, they don't have a forecastle.

OK so that would be the ad from Adelaide:
"One of a kind professionally designed and built for excitement on the beach this summer. With an amazing ride along the beach and then with a pull of a rope, you can be sailing on the water. This incredible sailing skiff has: • RWO, Harken and Ronstan Fitout • New fully battened square top main • New jib (furling) • Asymmetrical mast head spinnaker and retractable bow pole • Full cover • Roll-on, Roll-off trailer excellent condition" Yup, all yours if you make an offer on Gumtree... Still not sure if it is a wind-up. |

Had a sail in this yesturday, have to say its a massive improvement over the older boats, alot lighter (makes a big difference on and off the water) and just very nice to sail. hope they do go ahead with it.

This isn't really a spy photo, as I saw it on a manufacturer's email newsletter, but...
Have Melges made a new version of the British Moth? http://www.melges.com/?p=news&id=3137&SID=komb1lmks20g0oph8nugs6tmp7 Would be interested to hear what it weighs and what the sail area is, compared to it's UK scow cousin. |

That photo is never 16ft?
I thought they were claiming a "brand new" boat, as the link says! |
