The Birkett won the Cumbria Tourism Event of the Year in 2016 and was voted number eight in the world’s top 50 regattas by Yachts & Yachting.
Last year’s Birkett was so popular that entries were closed at the 230 limit before the day.
This year there are two important changes. 1. Entry is online only via SailRacer with a closing date of June 24. 2.For safety and organisational reasons the PY handicap limit has been reduced from 1400 to 1340.
Two ACH races cover the length of Cumbria’s most beautiful lake with one on Saturday (1pm start) and one on Sunday (11am start) and ample space for camping and campervans and on-site catering and entertainment all weekend makes the Birkett a true Festival of Sailing.
