The racing follows the same format as previous years, two races a day with a break for lunch with river starts & finishes off the HRSC clubhouse, excursions into Southampton Water depending on the weather.
The club will be providing class starts for Fireflies, Merlins, National 12 and Foxers. The Regatta for the National 12s will form part of their Gill Series and for the Merlins it will be part of their Silver Tiller Series. A new venture this year is races for under16s in Pico dinghies which will be run in a separate course area.
Over 80 boats are expected to take part over the weekend which as always will provide great spectator sport as races are run just metres from the banks of the river. An added bonus for competitors is that entry fees have been kept at the same level as last year, at just £25 a boat with single handers at half price.
The Notice of Race, accommodation hints and other useful information are available on Hamble River Sailing Club website.
