DESCRIPTION:Sailing around the beautiful Island of Jersey is a stunning experience offering great views of bays, sandy beaches and towering cliffs. Transforming this into a 45 mile race presents a real challenge given the great tidal range, associated currents and rocky coastline that keep even the locals on their toes. 2022 sees Rossborough Insurance enthusiastically occupying the sponsor's seat for the seventh year in a row. This race is one of the longest lived in the Club's history, dating back many decades and marked by the award of the venerable Jesse Boot and Cabot Memorial Trophies. It is a race for cruiser/racer (IRC & NHC), sportsboat and sport catamaran classes. Starting in St Aubin's Bay, the course takes the fleet anticlockwise around the Island via the Violet Channel buoy and all points to port before finishing back in the Bay.Proceedings will be brought to a close with the place prize-giving and dinner in the Club, that evening. This is an open event to which visiting boats are assured of a very warm welcome. There is no entry fee. All enquiries to office@rciyc.je.
