DESCRIPTION:Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the Storm Trysail Club’s biennial Block Island Race Week, which is sponsored by Rolex, has grown into one of the most popular sailing race weeks in America. For 2013, 150 entries are expected and will divide into three fleets racing on three different courses. The event includes IRC and PHRF handicap, and one-design racing and has introduced new classes for Classics, Doublehanded boats and Gunboats. As well, seven new championship events have been added to this year’s regatta schedule: the IRC North American Championship; HPR (High Performance Rule) North American Championship; PHRF East Coast Championship; Swan 42 New England Championship; and Beneteau 36.7 Championship.
