DESCRIPTION:Continuing its illustrious history for over a century and a half, this annual event is hosted by the New York Yacht Club and in odd-numbered years follows the Annapolis to Newport Race and precedes Block Island Race Week, attracting many of the same competing yachts. In addition to racing in the weekend series, all eligible yachts may also compete in Friday’s separately scored Around-the-Island Race. Entry is open to yachts with a minimum LOA of 25 feet in IRC, Classic, 12 Metre and One-Design classes as well as the recently introduced Cruiser-Racer and Double-handed divisions on “navigator” courses.
