DESCRIPTION:This long-standing circumnavigation of the Island regularly attracts up to thirty boats, cruisers, sports-boats and sport-catamarans. The record remains to be broken but stands at a challenging 3hrs and 7mins, held by a Hobie Tiger. The race starts in St Aubin's Bay and follows a course anticlockwise around the Island. Entry is free of charge; visiting boats are assured of a very warm welcome. The event rounds off with the prize-giving and supper in the RCIYC that evening. 
NB The cruiser classes race for the ancient Jesse Boot and Cabot Memorial Trophies whilst the sport-catamarans race for the BA Speedbird Trophy.
