DESCRIPTION:In even-numbered years, this annual regatta (the longest running in America) precedes the Newport Bermuda Race and traditionally attracts many of the competing yachts.  In addition to racing in the weekend series, all eligible yachts may also compete in Friday’s separately scored Around-the-Island Race. Entry is open to yachts with a minimum LOA of 25 feet in IRC, Classic, 12 Metre and One-Design classes as well as the recently introduced Cruiser-Racer division on “navigator” courses.
