SUMMARY:17th Waller-Harris Two-handed Triangle Race
LOCATION:Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club
DESCRIPTION:This event, sponsored by two past Commodore's is possibly the most popular cruiser event in the Island's sailing programme attracting up to 25 yachts, the normal entry limit. The event encompasses three legs, one each day, coupled with a fantastic social life ashore, belying the serious competition that occurs on the water. The race usually takes boats from Jersey to a first port of call on the Brittany coast, thence on to the second 'foreign' port before racing home on the final day.The entry fee is £15.00 per boat (or the equivalent in euros). The event briefing will be held on the Friday evening, 6th July, in the RCIYC. Visiting boats are most welcome but should apply early to avoid disappointment as the 2-handed Triangle race has a very strong local following.
