Thats the 'Yanks' for you.  Kind of appropriate really. The last real super power, more GM crops than any other country in the world and we are sending them food parcels.

How do you think they will market it?

complete with endorsements from Mrs Palmer and for the young lads, her daughter miss palmer...

I worked with a Yank before on a construction project and at one memorable meeting he insisted we go out and start shagging our suppliers and subcontractors...

...it later transpired that when playing baseball in the park as a lad they needed 3 people, 1 to pitch, one to hit and one to shag...apparently that meant running around chasing after the balls after a successful hit...

Nothing like the real thing, then...

That's one of your shortest posts, Blobby. What's happening? Busy at work or slipping standards ??

COpycat - I am sure i've used that response before...

Standards are slipping - normal service may be resumed soon after 1 week in Bangkok, 1 week in New Zealand and 1 week in Sydney...

Then you'll need one week to tell all your friends in England how great life is!

I remain unconvinced you're not a security guard in a dépôt in Sidcup, and you're off for 3 weeks of solid wholesome mirth in Butlins, Skegness

Back in the 80's there was a letter in Boards Magazine about a new product to teather your board to the beach, a "windsurfers anchor" (from the States), marketed under the name "W.Anka", or "W.Anchor". It never caught on, the guy who wrote in about it suggested there where enough "windsurfing anchors" on the beach anyway....

nothing wrong with GM crops. Just a new label for something that has been
around for decades.

It is unlikely that ANY of the cotton you wear is not GM. Havn't died yet, have
you?

I don't mind a bit of GM myself.  If food can be grown that will resist disease without the use of chemicals and reduce world hunger then that is OK by me. My post was at the same time as the New Orleans disaster, hence the comment.

With all the toxic stuff and various additives that have found there way into my body over the years I would be wasting my energy worrying if the food I ate had been GM.

Mmmm I think a few lagers may be the order of the day.

Very wise idea... Lager is mostly made of water, with a few added ingredients to purify the system. Perfect proof: everyone feels better after a couple of lagers; however, mankind can only aspire to purity, never achieve it. That's why you feel so DeadDead the morning after quite a few lagers.... Too much of a good thing.

(it was the Tequila slammers and far too many Margaritas that did it for me last week Big smile)
