There can only possibly be one answer to that;
A V twin (mark II) of course.

Not enough space to fit the machine guns and toys on a dinghy, I would probably be something like that odd stepped hull speed thing.

Not sure about this one, but I do know that Goldfinger was pretty handy with a Laser

It would need to be something with room for a mattress in the bottom, also stable enough the martini isn't spilled - Flying 15 or Solo perhaps??

A Finn, obviously. Ooooozes class from every pore and still looks good after 50 yrs.

Yep, I'd agree with the boat. Who's the baddie who's nicked it off Bond?

Waiting for someone to find the photo of the guys sailing the 800 at the anniversary regatta in dinner jackets... I'm thinking a 505 though. Enough string to make it more techy than almost anything else, being pretty high performance and still seeming really rather smooth overall.

Well I agree that the Finn is the Aston Martin equivalent...
I'll nominate the RS300 as one of the lighter nippier Bond cars...the underwater one perhaps?

... and developing my earlier thought, what class would the baddie's minions be sailing? They would have to be combustible. GRF: stand away now.

Odd Job would be in the Farr 3.7!

Surely it has to be the rogue? Got all the above abilities but super sexy looking. And so difficult to sail only he could do it.
Bond couldn't be on a two man boat as it would mean relying on someone else.

Speaking of which, TopGear are showing a James Bond car special this weekend, part of which was filmed at Carsington a few weeks ago (the club was closed for the day and was strictly off limits)...
Sorry back to the topic...

1970s International 14, a McCutcheon built Kirby V, varnished of course, crew, the choice has to be female, choose your own favourite, Bond, it has to be Connery. Venue, Cowes, Royal Yachting Squadron, event POW, postion, not a serious question.

Hi All
went to a charity premier last night, the yacht is almost as sexy as the women.
I would have thought a an aircraft carrier alias FD would be best enough room to land a Harrier or helicopter on the foredeck as well as cocktails later.
Loads of room for gadgets and smooth as silk upwind sailing.
And yes you have room for the mattress.
Cheers
Gordon

No chaps, Bond's car would be whichever manufacturer was offering a appropriate deal to the movie makers. Even the Aston got in that way. ISTR in the books he drives a vintage Bentley.

James Bond's boat - a classic, and beautiful choice such as a 6M or Dragon would seem the best fit, either that or a foiling moth, with smoke screen generator and missile launchers in the wing tips of course

Bond would never do anything as un dignified as hiking so it would have to be a trapeze boat

Imagine the scene...Bond (in his Finn) has a couple of baddies on his tail at the windward mark because they banged a corner (how very un-British!) so he bears away and the Finn morphs into a foiling Moth. The baddies are in some mass-produced skiff things which go down the mine on the bear-away. That'd do it!

......surely a couple of Bond-girls in skin-suits would be required as forward-hand and sheet-hand?

James Bond wouldn't sail dinghies full stop.

Pretty sure he'd single-hand an AC72, despatch chasing baddies with torpedoes shot from the rear of the hulls before calmy cruising into the harbour at Monte-Carlo, stepping off casually and taking the hand of a suitably underdressed supermodel with a suitable "Quite an entrance" related pun

He would need something he could take single handed but also take a light weight supermodel crew with him. I know it is possibly the worst boat I have ever sailed but the only thing I can think of right this minute is the Vago! There must be other boats out there which aren't made of "bulletproof plastic"!

Foiling Int 14. Need the speed and the female crew. Plenty of room for missiles in wings etc. Spinnaker could double as bed / tent if and when required.

Amused by the fact that the yacht in the film would have been in the high street if they had waited that late to get the rags off!

You are all wrong. He'd be on a foiling moth. Outrunning baddies in RIBS. And the music would of course go da-da-da-daaaaaaa-da-da-da just as he popped up on the foils. And he'd foil up to a beachside bar, stepping off calmly onto a jetty, snap bikini elastic at 200 yards and go "well, I think I foiled their plans" before ordering a vodka martini, shaken not stirred.
Oh wait, all that b**locks stopped with Roger Moore didn't it...

Or he'd sail past the jetty to collect his VM - and crash his mast into a post...wait that's on You-tube somewhere...
