By request, I am creating this again so we don't clash with events in 2013. It seemed to work well for 2012. These are the ones I know about at the moment, please just post to this thread and I will update the master list again. I will make sure these events are all added to our calendar too. That will then drive the list of events that come up when you search for your individual class of boat (be in Tornado or Hobie) and include class-specific as well as general catamaran events. The Grafham Invitation Cat Open will be on the 26-27 October next year.
The current plan is to include the same fleets next year as this year (i.e. no Fast 2-up catamarans) which is a shame, but all that seems possible at present.

1st June THE UCCR ---- the 3rd edition of The Upper Clyde Cat Race , a mid distance race around the upper clyde , starting from Helensburgh Sailing Club and encompassing The Gareloch , Loch Long , Holy Loch , Gantocks light house and a wee donner roon the "Wreck " off helensburgh before returning to HSC , weather permitting . OPEN EVENT and popular with SNECCA's . can be suprisingly challenging !!!! ------------- |

Dates for Bala catamaran club are as follows: - Open meeting which is now in its 36th year of running is the 4th, 5th and 6th May, may bank holiday weekend
Bala Enduro weekend is the 20th and 21st which includes the F18 tt Hopefully the calendar will be updated

Sorry Maxine, the Carsington Cat open is scheduled for the 21st / 22nd September. Although the class website lists a Hurricaine event at Carsington on 13th April, there is no mention of it on the club calendar - probably best to double check the arrangements (perhaps it is an informal/training day?).

Tresaith Cat Open 18th / 19th May. Usual plan..beach bar, live band, free camping on the beach (if you fancy roughing it) and 5 races including a long distance if conditions are suitable. ------------- Nacra Infusion F18 |

Thanks, yes. Apologies to Maxine - she was right all along. I've just received the catamaran fleet update for Carsington. Seems that there will be a 'Fast' cat meeting 13/14th April for F18's TT, Hurricaines 5.9's TT and Fast Handicap – SCHRS equal or lower (Faster) of 1.04 or SCHRS equal or lower (Faster) of 1.25 if carrying an asymmetric Spinnaker.
