When that 300 molesting, Solo retiring, 505 bothering bender bought a D1?

When did that happen?

Who on earth let him in a D1?

We need pictures, preferably with it the right way up rather than his normal walrus on ice flow pose..

I heard that in a desperate attempt to remain competitive in board racing, fuller took for the team from a lame cat sailor wielding a mistral IMCO as a sex aid....

and this is what he gave birth to after a 15 year gestation period:

It wouldn't be fair to take your money.

Have you worked out how to pull that big balooney sail  thing up and put it away all on your own then?

Yep got that covered mate, i can get it up and down no problem at all (keeping the boat upright whilst doing that is another matter). I hear a man of your advancing years has troubles getting and keeping things up though.

As for fair, i am happy for you to try and take my money...You in the V-tub vs my D-one.Wink

Well, it may well be finished end of this week, well finished enough to collect, wether it all works is a whole other deal and wether I fancy chancing my arm driving all the way up to Grafham only to have some bit break off again at high speed is another thing...

But...

I find myself extraordinarily tempted at the thought of parcelling up your ass and handing it to you and Mr Devoti all in one pass, how sweet would that be?

You wouldn't turn up! The v-shed wouldn't fit through the gate at grafham.
I will be there as will the D-one, however I won't be in it...but I will still take your bet.

I will also double and quits it at the steve nicholson at pitsford early next year!

I'm familiar with Grafham, kind of home from home, spent many a winter training up there back in the day..
I'll not promise anything I can't deliver at this stage, but if i can get it all put together again and working and it's not frozen right over, Grafham would be a good place to trial it. Nice bit of open water, winds as clean as inland stuff gets, there are no big bumps (not planning to go down by the dam) I know the guys in the Chandlery.. yeah it could be a runner, lets see.

Don't forget the last forum regular you challenged Graeme- the arse handing would have been far fairer if you'd dared stick it over the side of the boat rather than kneeling down trying to goosewing down the rhumb-line.

I didn't challenge him, I firmly believe it would be an unfair match, that D1 got beaten by RS100 and I wouldn't even consider them a fair race.
Don't forget, i designed this thing, for me, so I wouldn't have to do all that arse hanging stuff.

You were lucky it was breezy, had it been anything clement you'd have had your ass handed to you, all that starting third rank off the line, you were lucky my kite jammed.

Anyway easy to talk the talk on the keyboard, different thing in butt freezing hot hurt glove weather sailing something I've only ever been on once and that's with someone else, so i won't pour too much oil on the flames.

There again if it didn't totally thrash him off the lake i guess i'd have to eat itWinkLOL

Third rank start? Mate if you'd made to it to the line on Day 2 then you'd have been surprised... starting wasn't an issue, first beat was fine- it was the feckin' endless capsizing downwind to get through that b**tard gate that did me in!

Grumpf don't draw too many conclusions about the D-one vs. the 100 after 1 race.  I certainly wouldn't draw any conclusions about how it performs relative to the 100 with me helming the D-one.

But there will be plenty of us at the Winter handicap events so a broad spectrum of talent.

Forget the bet and come and race us, its all good fun.

Besides with all the other Shrimps in Grafham atm you should feel right at homeWink

No, I think all in all, muppet at the helm of D1 v muppet on RS100 = D1 wins hands down, I was just pulling your plonker, if I'd sailed inland i'd have gone the D1 route. It was the retracting CB and Rudder that did it for me.
But on paper, muppet on mine v muppet on D1, mine should be faster, longer w/line length, more sail area, bigger centreboard, we should find out over the winter and this would be a good way of doing it, all things being equal and it's ready this side of Xmas and I've found the necessaries and a road trailer that'll take it. (Part of the problem we've had to build something specially for it, it's that wide.) It would also be cool to get someone else on the beast who can sail proper, then find out what it's really capable of.

Shrimp? I like a nice shrimp cocktail, those winter handicaps are they one day or two? Is strong drink involved?

Graeme,
Most are one day affairs, but the Tiger Trophy at Rutland (my particular favourite) is a two day job, with plenty of Ale floating around.

Wing Wang I shall redouble my efforts just for you, it's time we actually met face to face then your disappointment in mankind will be complete.

What's a tank got to do with Grafham?
