Hi - bought RS Q’BA this summer from a guy who bought it new summer 2009 ex demo from RS retailer locally. Deck has a crack letting in water - length about one handspan in area between side and centre toe straps. I have the RS instructions for for fixing splits in Pe3 decks (cut sheet of plastic deck material and stotchweld it up behind the crack) but I don't think I can get through the hatch to get a plate behind the area where it has split. Any suggestions appreciated - whether repairable vs replacement hull needed etc. Thanks, Andydy

Have you spoken to RS?  They will have the most knowledge on this...

I have seen this before on RS Qba's and on the Teras. I would call RS rather than email, not sure what the fix is, as it is a weakness in the plastic moulding.

Thanks all - not feeling too overjoyed about this - from the comments sounds like a design fault. RS seemed doubtful about a long term repair even being possible and talked about buying a replacement hull...
