We're looking in to this one, and more importantly how to fix it!

I have looked at the technical difficulties surrounding the crux of the problem. I can clearly see the development work that is needed to create a robust solution to this issue.

Unfortunately, implementing such a solution would take more than a day. So I've bodged it for now.

My dirty bodge seems to be working. Use the 'contact us' link on the top menu to let us know if errors start happenning again.

Bodge tape on this one Confused - we really did resort to a 'quick-fix'. There is a problem with the forum software and the way it picks up records that causes a major problem with huge threads (and the Favourite Photos thread has found that problem!).

Anyway, cheers to Mags for having the right width of tape for this task!

Thanks to all for fixing Smile.
Perhaps some "garbage" collection ids required, I can't believe many would trawl all these posts.
Most forums keep everything "forever" but this can't be sensibly sustainable in the long run?

Forever is our origin
To be able to trace our origin is our History
History is Kings and Queens
Without Kings and Queens you are America

You want to be America??!!!?? Wink

Keep it as it is - I like the fact that we have a thread with over a million hits
