Following on from Jimbo shaking off the TT internet identity, i have been thinking about doing something similar.  Alt has changed since i initially registered as a Y&Y user, first off i have aged 5 years, had two children, got married and no longer sail a Merlin (which i only did in true MB style for 6 months), so its time to wave good bye to MB....Its been emotional.Cry

I am regularly amused by people with a class name and/or sail number in the username and something completely different in their sig.

Al i was new to forums back then, loads has changed i setup a new account last year but decided to stick with MB.  However on reflection, it seems like the time is right.  You are right though, being called MB and sailing a 505 is a bit backward.

Can you put your 'maiden' name in your signature, so we know who you are?Smile

Might be confusing if many people follow.

Ruscoe (nee Merlinboy)?

Funny I woke up thinking about RS300's and You, then this picture immediately sprang to mind.

You can have it as an avatar if you like..

Forum admins can change a person's username if asked nicely. Then you won't have to lose the link to your old posts etc.

Amen to that jimbo, my POV on a few things has changed drastically in the last few years, i am also slightly less opinionated.  Another reason for the change....

Simon it was a nickname i had at work a few years ago, and yes its a play on the Dukes of Hazard sheriff.  At least it has no resemblance to a class of boat i sailed years ago!!LOL

Cheers Hawksie, Maybe i should change it to Russyh, although i'm not sure my wife's pet name for me portrays the right hard man image i am after.  Not sure how it came about, think it was about the time i was talking about joining the police.  Not sure why i dragged it back up, it would probably of been best to let it disappear.
