Right I have a ipod that is synced with my laptop. This has all my music on it.

I have a iphone that is synced with my netbook and has very little music on it.

If I plug the the ipod into the netbook it says the ipod is synced with another library do I want to erase and sink with the library on my net book.

If I plug the iphone into the laptop it says it is syncing but it doesn't add my music !

I just want to have one libary that I can sync with both devices on either laptopor netbook.

Help.

Are either of the devices a Mac.

There are ipod hacks that can retrieve the music, one I recall podutil or some similar sounding name.

You ordinarily can sync 2 or 3 devices to one library, well you can in Mac World anyway, not sure how it works over at the dark side.

I share my iTunes library on my PC between my iPod touch, my iPod Shuffle, small daughter's Shuffle and big daughter's iPod Nano. There's never been any problem.

If you don't want to lose all your tracks, you can copy them straight from the iTunes library folder on your drive. Big daughter regularly turns up with a memory stick full of music taken from friends' PCs and I add them to the iTunes library here.

Turn on home sharing on both computers.

Make sure both are on, open the library for computer 2 on computer 1, on the drop down option menu towards the bottom choose items not on my computer (or something like that).

Go to Edit, then select all, then import.

Do the same on the other computer.

You should now have all the music on both computers

Then when you sync you should get all the music on the other device.
