We use 8mm Excel Fusion, its light , easy to grip, doesnt take up any water and is easy to splice a nice loop in the middle to attach to the clew of the spi so you have a knot free cant catch on the forestay gybe !!!
BTW funnily enough i can flog you some too !!

Cheers Si

Pah, get the crew to man up!!

4mm should be plenty thick enough.

Maffioli (is that how it's spelt?) if pretty good but it does need a trip round the washing machine before using it.

4mm spin sheets results in divine retribution from the International Federation of Associated Crews Unions- that's straight past three black marks.

Mindyou, F18's got quite a flat, high aspect kite yes? 8mm strikes me a bit overly chunky- how big is the thing?

+1 for maffioli...6-8mm for round the cans, 10mm for those 30 mile legs

Used to use the "Ravioli" but doesnt have Dyneema core and soaks up water so heavy in the light stuff - Al the kites 21sqm and the loads are quite high, you could use 6mm in the light and 8mm in the breeze just wouldnt want to get caught out if the breeze kicks in !!!!
