I have various sails that I need altered to fit various boats, or be heavy weather sails.  So far I haven't had much luck; the last sail maker I approached only wanted to come and look at the boat (the Simoun) then make a whole new suit!  Not exactly affoirdable or what I want!  Can anyone recommend a sailmaker in East Anglia area who might actually welcome this type of work?

Lonton and Gray (sp) have done sail alterations for us to Wayfarer sails and is also our prefered choice for training sails.

Worth giving them a call although at certain times of the year they are busy.

Try suffolk sails in woodbridge,

they will do pretty much anything

Jim Hunt, although not in East Anglia, would be my choice either through spped or through Purple Sails
