Weston are pleased to announce that once again their traditional Cat open on 6/7 November 2010 will include the NACRA UK nationals.

With this event being so popular Weston have slightly changed the format of the racing. There will be 3 starts, 20ft+ fleet, fast cat and slow cat, depending on entries.

With this event attracting 65 entries last year it is not suprsing that this event is now an established date in UK cat sailors calender.

As we speak we are getting  not only International enquiries about this event but what maybe a suprise entry...WATCH THIS SPACE

Come on all you cat sailors, make your excuses to your nearest and dearest and get down to the Weston Cat Open and Nacra Nationals this coming 3 days to experience exceptional racing and superb hospitality-you know it's worth it! Friday and the fun begins with the start of the 9 race 20ft+ event which is also open to all cats (and exceptionally fast monos-lets hope the foiling moths turn up!) giving everyone a chance to challenge the C class Invictus and it's mighty wing sail. Saturday and the full 6 race event begins with 3 starts (20ft+ handicap, fast handicap, and slightly less fast handicap) which continues into Sunday. The 2010 Nacra Nationals will also be decided from the results of these 2 days. Don't worry if your are not an F18 as the chance of winning a trophy is very good as there are more than 20 trophies (and I mean proper trophies-I know this because my better half made them!!) waiting to be awarded covering all sail plans right from 'pinhead' main only through all variations right the way to 3 sail with 'square top' main.

So sneak out and pack your sailing gear and slide that boat on to it's road trailer, phone work and tell them your not well and get down to Weston for the time of your life-If you don't believe me just check with any of last years attendees!

has anyone see any results posted online. I have seen the report on the C class which is very interesting but I have yet to see any results. I have trawled Y & Y web site and I have trawled the sailing club web site. I have even tried the F18 web site but nothing.

I know that it is a bit sad that I would want to know the results but I am sure the individual class winners would like to see them names mentioned.

Can someone direct me to where I can see the results.

Thanks

The results are on the website, it's just not logical to find them.

If you go to the results page and then filter to catamarans there are two options U20 (under 20 foot) and Over 20.

Cheers

Andrew

just checked the results, they are up.
just fully realised the joys of sailing average laps when the same class of boat gets stopped behind you but beats you by four places on handicap.

r.o's are meant to "adjust " results accordingly when that happens !, they often dont.

a boat at least 2 places behind through the line finished 4 in front on handicap but as i didnt have a stellar weekend its not the end of the world.
