Subject: Impossible to buy varnish?

Im in the middle of a total refurb job on one of my contenders, of which I have redecked part of it and put a new floor in the cockpit and stripped the old varnish,  However on trying to get hold some varnish of which many chandleries advertise the New International Perfecton Plus varnish.  however everywhere I try says not availble to mid September!! and they haven't even got any old perfection varnish either

So does anyone know where I can get some elusive perfection plus varnish, or the old stuff.

Or advise a good system which is reasonably easy to apply, gives a good finish and is durable??  Ive only used International previously (was goining to use perfection with fast dry sealer) and need to get on and varnish now while got the time and the temp is good!!

many thanks for any replys

I'm sure P&B had some perfection when i was in there
yesterday. If i'm wrong they did have the Epifanes two pot
varnish, which i bought to do my Phantom mast, it was an
excellent product! easy to use and apply and the finish was
FANTASTIC

My imopression is that all things varnish and advice
are available from the members or by simply searching the
forum.

Perfection plus has it would seem fallen foul of the paint police. Recent victims include Goldspar and SP Hibuild.

I'm not sure how frank i can be on an open forum as the agents for the paint police are everywhere, but i got two tins from LDC a couple of weeks ago.

Many Thanks for the advice,

I got some very good help from P&B on an alternative to use SP320 primer and Ephanes, however at the time they did not have both products in stock and said it may be best to look elsewhere, anyway after being promised both by another chandler who then failed to deliver.. Returning to P&B who by then had them in stock...

Very impressed by P&Bs down to earth sensible advice..

Now to actually completing the job before the weater turns cold
