Any suggestions for places to hire a dinghy or charter a
yacht in the Barnstaple area?

You can hire dinghys at Roadford Lake near Okehampton, nice lake and good facilities.

Thanks. I have been to Roadford in the past actually. It is
nice if anyone else is looking for something around
Okehampton. I was hoping to find something on the coast in
this case though.

The only club that was around the North Devon Coast when I lived there was in Instow and I'm pretty certain they didn't hire/charter anything. Nearest places to do something like that were Roadford, Wimbleball, or Tamar.
