I had one delivered, in a massive cardboard tube, sent via a normal courier, cant remember which though, the tube did make it heavy and quite pricey though!

Why don't you want to fold it? It's much easier to post sails this way. If it was a Merlin main, I would take the battens out, do big 1M wide flakes, with the luff rope stacked neatly at one end, then brick it along the width. You get a package 1M by 30 cm by 10cm. The battens (unless it's fully battened) won't be more than 1m long, so they can go in the same parcel. The only noticable effects will be about 5 or 6 horizontal creases, which will be very light and will shake out after a few tacks. Laminate is quite flexible and better than dacron for sending this way. Not a problem.

A set of dacron Fireball sails flaked and bricked ready for posting. Jib, spinnaker, main and battens.

I had one posted to me once. I think the company was called Amtrack. It
came in a big cardboard prism shaped box.

I use TNT for all my sail deliveries. Costs around £20 each time but
they are very good.

I had one sent to me by Fedex.

Rolled in thick polythene and lashings of tape, it was fine.

Google it , think i used inter parcel to send sail to croatia , also about uk , were very cheap , they bulk buy space and resell , often its the big names , dhl , etc that actually collect and deliver
