Hi,

This is on behalf of a hot air ballooning friend, who has just asked me if I know of a way to remove a very sticky type of glue that has been used to stick a logo onto a balloon.

The balloon is made from rip-stop nylon.

She has tried white spirit not - much use

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Get three clothes, one wet with acetone, one wet (with water) and one dry. Quickly rub the area hard with the acetone cloth, before removing the acetone with the wet cloth and then running the dry cloth over the area. You may need to do this several times. You should wear gloves. Jon

Sprinkle talcum powder over the area.

It doesn't remove the glue, but it gives it something light to stick to.
