Or have they changed their domain name?

None of my links seem to work and haven't done for quite some time now.

This for example.

Was never a particularly interesting/ fast moving forum or
up to date website compared to this one though.

I think the cover stories have been the same for that last
year.

DSM is for birds and beginers. The only good thing is the free classifieds

The old forum used to be quite good, it seems to now be the home of "Feva_Sailor and Friends" and as such lost 90% of its members (Most went during the 6 month gap where there was no forum though!)

Had emails with Pete Vincent and others at DS mag. They are going strong and of course have an RS100 test in the next issue I believe (so not just for FEVAs then)

Works fine for me. Maybe it was a temporary glitch?

In all honesty, the home page has been the same for months (news and events are now being updated frequently, though).

I'd say that the new Editorial team is concentrating on getting the magazine going, rather than providing an online version with an associated forum.

Personally, I say that the magazine is now excellent. It suffered under previous guises for too long (it was awful last year!), but Pete Vincent, Sally, et al have turned the magazine around totally - it really is worth reading again. If the website isn't a priority of theirs, then I can't say that I'm bothered - it's the publication itself that counts.

I used to really like DSM, but then last year it became awful.  Now with the new team, its back on its feet.  Pete is always worth reading, and I like the cruising section as its an area I've not had anything do with before.

And its great having two worthwhile publications!

Working again now, he obviously got onto whoever it is that's doing a
crap
job with their internet.

First time it's been up for about a month now on and off you can see that
from their forum, the most recent post as at the time of this one was Mar
17.

So someone needs to post something to make it look inhabited.

I wondered if it was where Cherub sailors took themselves off to die
quietly once they realised they weren't going upwind at all when twin
trapezing..

The Cherub guys are indeed sorely missed. Unfortunately for them, certain Cherubists including he who should not be named who bought my 49er and tried fitting hydrofoils to his cherub ended up getting them into a bit of an electronic scrap resulting in lots of abuse being hurled their way. Ultimately the good guys in the fleet of which there are many decided to setup their own forum on their website and they have firmly setup camp in their own Utopia.

Like Jimbo, I think they had a lot to offer this forum. If you ignore the one or two idiots who couldnt repair a small ding without grinding away half the boat and just listen to the ones who've built their own boats, developed the rigs and really got the Cherubs going then you could all learn a thing or two.

I think the likes of Will Lee, Phil Kirk and Pete Barton to name a few are excellent examples of helpful, encouraging and keen sailors who will go out of their way to assist and its a shame they arnt regulars on here.

+1 - the first two are helping me with building a new boat,
there is a huge amount of knowledge there!

Despite what you might think, I wasn't, I don't drink in the daytime.

Agreed it was a tad random that, can't think what chain of thought
bought it on, other than wondering where 'they' went, I used to enjoy
targeting them when bored..

So, now, how can we help? Clearly at 16 life must have already dealt you
a severe self esteem blow that you would 'come out' so early to admit to
being part of the Cherubim.

I could help, but last time I recommended the tablets to a 16 yr old, they
banned me from the forum, but at least you can take this as one would
therapy in a self help group, you have at least admitted the problem.

"I am hams4sand and I sail a Cherub!" Good start.

indeed not all cherubists have left the forum just less to comment on.

he shall not be named moved on also but his name lives on in cherub history  and in the cherub dictionary, especially when it comes to twin stringing downwind or errm lack of. "shall we twin it down wind??" i think not lets "****" downwind much safer

Yeah Feva Gimp or Feva Kid is definitely that Jordan character... we have proof....

So it was the same irritation we scared of here in the good ol' days

Last time I was on the DSM forum they had been overrun by a bunch of old guys from Alton Water.
