I am looking at organising new club kit - polo shirts maybe fleeces. The problem is that although I'm happy to organise it I'm not keen on taking orders , chasing people for money and maintaining stock.

I have heard that there is a company that will set up the logo to be embroidered (for a fee I guess)and will then take orders from individuals as required. -anyone know anything about this and the name and contact details of the company that does it?

Thanks for your help.
Seabadgers Mum.

Mainly rowing kit, but they do fleeces, polos etc. It would be worth giving them a call.

Go to any shop that sells school uniforms and they usually have the equipment to take your logo and embroider it onto what ever you want.

I think we used to use a local independent sports shop as well.

The wife of the Vice Commodore at Castle Cove Sailing Club has an embroidery business.

It may be worth sending them a quick email.

Our club uses www.oceanworld.co.uk. I believe the club get
a percentage back from them for every item sold. They do a
huge range of kit that can have the club logo embroidered
on.

Leon also sails a 400, don't hold that against him, at
least he's an active sailor. Anything I've ordered has
arrived in a few days. He will also do a special, so
last year's Lark T shirt also had the club logo on the
chest for no extra charge.

We are doing this now and have chosen a local supplier who has the club logo in digital format and an agreed design.  We now have a sample at the club of the item - hoodies in our case - and if someone wants one they then call the supplier direct and make their own order.  This means the club doesn't get left with boxes of unsold kit and there is no confusion over names etc - these hoodies are being personalised for instructors and youth sailors. It also helps that the supplier is very close to the club.

Another vote for http://www.crestofawave.com - www.crestofawave.com , Hi Leon *waves*.

They were fantastic when working out the design we wanted for the Oxford Pirates, and make life soooo easy for us with our own page on their website.

We use mailto:adam_larvin'hotmail.com - Wave Clothing run by Adam Larvin (current 9er Inland Champion).

Can't comment on the competition mentioned, but have had previous shockers from 'local' (high street) suppliers. Problems such as T-Shirts that shrink or loose colour so fast they may as well start white!

Adam is very efficient, the clothing seems to be wearing well, and there's a huge choice of items, colours and sizes. Best of all the prices are remarkably good - allowing the club to add the odd few £ but still the prices seem very good value for the quality.

They do any size of embroidery, but also screen printing - or whatever the 'drawn  on' effect is called.

mailto:adam_larvin@hotmail.com - email him for details.

Cheers for the recommendation Hector.

As said above, we do a wide range of garments and can apply/embroider
virtually any logo or pattern with no set up fee.

If anyone would like some more details, my email address is
adam@waveclothing.co.uk. Website is http://www.waveclothing.co.uk but
it's not quite finished yet!
