Apparently, "mobilising the Irish SB3 armada is undoubtedly the key to making the 2010 Worlds the 100-plus affair which everbody is hoping for" Y&Y Mar 10

So why do the World's start only 2 days after the end of the biggest regatta of the year in Ireland? That is the equivalent of running the Worlds 2 days after Cowes Week. Except that that most Irish boats will have to use that convenient little island to the east as a land bridge, which means two ferries and a very long drive.

Something tells me that the Irish contingent will be small, if not inexistent at the Worlds.

Has the Class Association shot itself in the foot?

Sounds that way. Shouldn't this be in the keelboat section?
