Don't forget that the  Grafham Grand Prix takes place on Sunday 27 December and it is open to Catamarans. It is the ideal way to work off the excesses of Christmas.

The Fast Cats (PY 640 to 781) mostly asymmetrics will sail upwind- downwind with the Fast Asymmetrics monohulls (PY 720 to 924) and the Meduim Cats  (PY 782 to 1000) Dart 18s, Sprint 15s, etc will sail a trapezoidal course with the fast non asymmetric monohulls (PY 690 to 1020).

Separate prizes will be awarded to the catamarans if either group get 8 or more entries.
Pre-entry is required by 23 December. Full details and entry forms can be found on the Grafham website at:

So why not give it a go?

Cheers

Bob

Thanks for that Bob; you beat me to it....

I'm not sailing this year as I'm a bit broken (who needs ribs and a collar bone anyway) but it's always good fun.

It looks like we will have a small fleet of Sprint 15s on the day. Thus far at least 4 have committed to take part.
2 Sprint 15s walked the annual club Christmas pursuit race yesterday taking 1st & second places. It was a nice sailng day - bright and sunny with a good wind - just a tad cold. Very Happy
I think the concensus was that it was much nicer sailing than it was on the committee boat. Wink
Don't forget there are just 2 days to get your entries in.
Cheers

I see that the weather forecast for Sunday is improving. At present Windguru is forecasting 5 degrees Centigrade and a South West wind of 15-17mph.

Today is the last day of entries but you can enter by phoning the office on 01480 810478

Cheers

The Top Cat at the Grafham Grand Prix was Stuart Snell on a Sprint 15. He was 2nd in the Medium handicap fleet to a Fireball. Neil Klabe (single handed Dart 18) was 8th followed by a group of Sprint 15s. It was cold and quite gusty.

Cheers

Bob
