So I have been reading today that Alex Thomson has bought the latest Open60 from Pindar and the New (but slightly broken) Hugo Boss is up for sale?

The reason Alex has quoted for buying the Juan K boat is because it the most powerful boat in the fleet and will suit his style of sailing! Awesome, some new 24 hour records then?

In my mind I think he has had enough of the current boat and rather than going for a new build has bought the best thing available on the market. He has also said that he has always wanted to work with Juan K for sometime, which I think will be an awesome team.

Hopefully Alex will be more successful with this boat than his last.
