This year is the 400th anniversary of New York [New Amsterdam] and the Flying Dutchmen are helping celebrate [get the connection? come on keep up.] Seven containers are winging their way across the stormy Atlantic right now.

Notice of Race-

6.   SUBSIDIZED SHIPPING OF FDs

The Kingdom of the Netherlands has graciously granted a subsidy for FREE shipping of up to 60 FDs from the 2009 Worlds in Medemblik, or other continents, to New York, and back.

8.         SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

……

12:30 Trophy Ceremony in Battery Park, in the presence of H.R.H. Crown-Prince Willem-Alexander van Oranje-Nassau and Princess Máxima, when Gary Jobson, 1977 winner - with Ted Turner - of the America’s Cup, will award the trophies to both skipper and crew ….

11.              RACING AREA AND COURSES

11.1          The racing area will be in New York Harbor, South of Manhattan, in the vicinity of the Statue of Liberty.

PS. There is a small chance I will need a crew if him up front becomes a dad again too early. Hasn't he heard of family planning!
