The Welsh Cat Champs are on the 29th-30th Aug @ The Mumbles Yacht Club.
Mumbles isn't that far from the end of the Universe and has in the past held National Championships for Tornado's (2008), A Class (2007 & 2008)
 F16 (2006-07-Worlds 08 and Nationals 2009)  Dart 18's (1999ish and TT's since history began).
It is well worth the effort!

Mark

Picked up your message but it doesn't look like we can make it as boat trailer not in one piece at the moment.  Mr Speedo is quite keen I think though.  Cheers.

If the tide wasn't coming in I recon you could sail from Thornbury to Mumbles in around 4-5hrs.  Whether anybody would want to is another question.  Although a Raid Style Event from Thornbury to Mumbles to the North Devon Sailing Club (Instow) over three days wouldn't be too bad or expensive.

Mark, sounds like an idea.  Go around Lundy in the middle of the Bristol channel too, it's only about 40 miles as the crow flies to Lundy...
