European Canoe Champs on BBC last weekend

I enjoyed watching these last weekend, The BBC we're obviously in training for the 2012 Olympics and did a good job, mind the weather was a great help.

The question is, are they going to show some sailing this summer. After all most of the posters on this forum seemed frustrated with the coverage from China last year.

I guess if it was going to be any if would be the Sail For Gold Event in Septmber.

Anyone know anything?

It was called European Canoe Championships

It was in Saturday at 1 on BBC1 and Sunday at 2 on BBC2. Having had Sky installed early Saturday morning it's the only things I've so far +ed.

Damn I missed this. You don't often get sailing/canoeing on the BBC these days. Bring back Grandstand, they used to show all sort of things that wouldn't have been on otherwise. So many sports get little or no coverage now. Not exactly great for encouraging kids.

Expo - it was canoeing as in kayak not as in IC sailing.
Clue in the url, but slalom IC canoe racing perhaps would make good viewing!

By sailing/cannoing I meant either as well as similar sports. I think a lot of minor sports (that people would enjoy if they were on and had a chance to get into) don't get the coverage they should.

I don't think either sailing or kayaking/canoeing are minority sports in terms of particpation.
