We are looking at improveing the fendering on our jetty sections at the SC and wonder if anybody has any good ideas for a long lasting none marking solution.

The jetties free floating galvanised steel frames with wooden boards.

Our old jetty had wooden boards/planks with tyres bolted to them.
Our current arrangement has wooden 'battens' attached to the jetty sections with an L shaped rubber covering to provide the bumperage. The rubber absorbs minor bumps and then the wood offers a bit more give for harder collisions.

We've just had our pontoons (concrete slabs on floats I think) redone and they now have a rather fetching rope bumper around the edges of a wooden panel that is fixed out from the edge about 2 inches. The rope is soft to land on and the wooden bit gives if you come in at speed! Seems to work well.

Tyres and bits of old Conveyer belt was what we used to have, but as you say they mark boats so looking for something new.

Our rubber 'bumpers' are white. I think they came from seals direct or someone along those lines.
