Datchet Winter Warm Up Report.

A prelude for the Datchet F18 TT in a few weeks time a couple of F18s ventured to Slough to get some race practise in against a menagerie of other cats. The conditions varied from an absolutely biting cold and strong winds and snow on the first weekend to more sedate and ideal cat sailing conditions on weekend 4. The diversity of the 30 strong fleet initially included Tornados racing Hobie Dragoons but the Race Committee decided to split out the fleet of cats into two although all were to start as one which gave some interesting situations for all to deal with. Both F18s performed well and if John T had been able to make it through the snow blocks on the second weekend it could have been an F18 1, 2 overall. Full results are below and thanks to DWSC for an excellent series getting in 7 of the scheduled 8 races in testing conditions at times!
