For RYA courses, they count passage miles. So Cowes to Cowes is zero. Stupid, isn't it?

Class 4 you'd be doing something around 15 miles a day.

If you know the courses you did (they were on the Cowes Week website but I can't find them now), then you can calculate the distance between each of the buoys. It might be worth contacting the Cowes Week organisers to see if they could send you the courses if you don't know them.
