I think my nieces (currently at opti nats) will shoot me if I don't manage to record some live sailing footage, but I'm stuffed If I can figure out how to video interactive via my PVR.

Do we know if the beeb will be doing Ben / Ynglings medal races live on a regular channel?

If not then how do I record an interactive channle via my PVR which is connected to the sky box - if I set my PVR to record 102 that might not be 'da action' but instead a round up of last nights phelps medals or some gymnastics or something..

Hmm, don't know about sky. I know on Freeview the interactive channels are in fact 301, 302 and 303. Try searching in the backwaters of the channel numbers for where BBCi, Teletext Interactive etc are broadcast, but I guess Sky probably hide that sort of thing.

Found a really useful site today!

You can get all the Olympic Sailing Regatta coverage online at http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/olympics/ - http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/olympics/  - there's a programme guide as to what's on at http://html.ebu.ch.edgesuite.net/olympics/epg/index.html - http://html.ebu.ch.edgesuite.net/olympics/epg/index.html

cheers Mark - that's sorted the watching in the office then!

cheers alstorer, I'll get browsing on sky backwaters - I'd better stay away from channels 9xx though, whilst they might be interactive...

If anyone esle has tips on recording the interactive channels please let me know..

Good to see I'm helping people work!

I had to disappear off to work before the sailing started earlier in the week and managed to record it.

From the schedule I knew it was going to be on stream 3 so I simply turned on my sky box, selected the BBC1 channel, pressed the red button and selected whatever was on stream 3 at the time. I then had my video recorder record off the scart channel (which is how it is connected to my Sky Box).

However, this all relied on the fact that the Interactive Live Olympics was being broadcast at the time I tuned in my TV!!!

Bit of a bummer if you have a Mac, as the online service appears to support
PCs only. Stuck in Belgium, relying on Mark's commentary tomorrow
morning. No pressure, Mark!

Go to

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00cmhth/comingup

where the full BBCi sailing programme is shown, then do what 'mossman' says during an interactive broadcast. The above address shows the particular stream that will be used for sailing at the programmed time. You've got to choose that stream from the 4 or 5 screens on the interactive picture by pressing the appropriate number on your remote or otherwise.
