try http://www.sailing.org/olympics/racing/informationrequests.php - clicking here . Some of these questions strike me that some of the competitors/coaches don't seem to have read the class rules - about 5 questions on pulling the mast forward in the yngling..

106 is quite interesting - "In order to complete work required on the GBR Star, as required by the Star Class Measurer, please can you grant dinghy park access, for accredited staff, outside of normal operating hours."

Hmm wonder what perce is being forced to fix....

26 is a good one.

All this stuff gives a flavour of what actually goes on on the ground and makes it all a bit more "real world"

98 - has Paul Goodisons boat got a leak - what is he trying to do that some silkaflex wouldn't sort?

Agreed odd on on 106 - not trying to fit a code zero to the Star are they?

Will the Yngling get theoir weed sticks? Looking at the racing today there was a lot of weed about.

i guess you could get 3cm wide tape which IIRC would be wide enough to tape over the bailer to smooth out that hull/bailer join even more..

I don't see why they are pulling such a hard line on weed sticks

What has the Norwegian Finn been up to? First he's gets a DNE from one protest and now it looks like he's got another protest hearing from the Jury at midnight. Hope they've put the coffee requests in for tommorow.

Probably the keel fairing or something, at a guess.

Whatever the Norwegian has done it isn't good, that's a rule 69....
The non discardable comes from the Rule 2 (Fair Sailing) infringement.
I'm guessing he lost the plot then...

Looks like he wasn't happy with the earlier decision and may have done something he will regret ...

Hmm...not like he was having a great regatta anyway..but he'd come 3rd behind ben & scheidt in savannah, so not exactly a duff yotter..

Interestingly though he's currently been scored a DNE in respect of the protest. - which is from breaching RRS 2. I would guess he probably shoved the other boat off backwards in the heat of the moment (or similar) which would probably breach 2 which is probably why the committee want to give him a 69..

Probably be time to be looking up the times for flights home...

112 info request is indeed interesting - but we will never know. No TV pictures and no GPS. Getting redress isn't going to be easy - - it never is.

It does look as if the NOR Finn has lost the plot - and what happened to the GRE Finn - has he had enough?

Once you get your 3rd rule 42 (and subsequent offences) you have to retire and are scored a non discardable disqualification. If you don't retire you are sent home.
So basically the Greek sailor is now on a tightrope....
