... honestly... I look at XC Weather (UK Windmap) and Magic Seaweed, and the Inshore Waters from the met Office. It would never occur to me to look at the BBC, it's bad enough on TV! Posted By: bert

Provided you sail near an airfield. We're lucky because we're only a few hundred yards from Shoreham Airport weather station. It also covers France, Spain, Germany and Italy, so you can check the data while you're away or you can keep tabs on the wind strength for friends in open meetings. When they come back claiming it was howling every day... i quite like XC weather, its quite good for overall trends as well even if you don't have the privilage of sailing near an air field.
