Well done to Mike - he finished at 0317hrs today. Without a keel that shows excellent seamanship.

Well done Mike.

It does raise a very good question - Are canting keels still the way forward?

There have been a number of major keel failure in the last couple of months e.g. A couple of Vendee boats, Skandia in the Sydney Hobart e.t.c.

bit weird how, Skandia in the Sydney Hobart and Skandia ( Nick Maloney) in the vendee globe both lost there keels
