If you got onto the forum first thing this morning. The hack was certainly trying to infect my box: I haven't checked to see if it got in yet.

It's a good idea to have antivirus and antispyware software on your computer. We're patching things back together now but it's going to be a long night... and it's already been a long day!

My antispyware software kicked in this morning - at which point I wondered what was going on

Best of luck tonight Mark - your work (and that of your assistants) is always appreciated

get linux...

And well done and thanks for getting the site up and running.again - I didn't realise how much I am in and out. It is such a valuable resource.

On the linux front, I now only use Ubuntu on my front line home PCs and it is a much more relaxing experience. I only use Windows for Sailwave (I can't get it to run under Wine) and testing sites for IE.

Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

Yep same here. Not a very nasty malware but a bit of a pest. Full PC scan took quite a while and slowed work down so much that I vented my frustration on the garden. Zap! That bindweed suffered severe losses and we can't lose little children in the lawn any longer!

Perfect weather to be hacked, I say...

(sorry Mark, I'm sure you had a frantic, nerve-boiling, angry day trying to sort out the mess some idiots landed you in and we're very grateful you've fixed it - I also get more birthday wishes, which is a bonus!  )
