with modern international paints, are you able to put a 'single pack' paint over a 'two pack paint' or will it peel off?

I know you cant put two pack on top of a single pack paint, but can it be done the other way round? Anyone with any experience???

I did some searching on this recently and the results were that apparently it should be fine. The incompatibilities are to do with one pack paints still 'drying' over an exceptionally long period of time, and the fumes affecting the impermeable two pack layer above.

Single pack over two pack should be fine.

But, why would you want to? Two pack is much better, not too difficult to apply and not really that much more expensive now either. Weather is just starting to get warmer too!

If you must use one pack i'd try the Blakes range rather than International.

The International range of colours is now pathetically small... that might be one reason. But yes, If the boat has two pot on and its working, ie no significantr adhesion problems, I'd stay with two pot. And if you have got significant adhesion problems you probably need to go back to bare anyway!

Snowed again here this morning

Wouldn't fancy working in the garage or at the boat park trying to paint just yet!
