Worryingly worth a look. Again a large organisation has dropped the ball with regards to furthering the popularity and promotion of high performance sailing in any guise other than a 49er good luck to the skiffs by the way.

It seems to me it is vital that the attempts to get the issue included in the May ISAF meeting as an URGENT topic are successful - otherwise the stalling will be successful and the last meetings decisions will become irrevocable and multihulls are out of the Olympics. The RYAs letter to the ISAF and reasoning was impecable, in my view. The trouble is, from reading the Sailjuice article, it seems hard to do much unless other countries sailing authorities support the RYA position. I hope that anyone with influence can get their country(s) to do this. Otherwise it seems to me that we are stumped.

Any ideas?

Bob

PS It is disappointing how shallow some of the comment on this item have been. Why is it perpetuated in the dinghy section of the forum and not kept in the multihull section.
