I am looking for an outboard motor mount to go on a pro-25. Ideally I would like to be able to take the engine and mount off together while racing. I believe the Laser SB3 and Melges 24 do this well. The only thing left on the transom of these boats while racing are a few bolts. The SB3 appears to be a custom mount for that boat and the Melges mount is about $250 or more.

Do any of you know of where i can order an engine mount kit where by the mount and engine will remove and only bolts will be on the transom for racing?

Many thanks.

We have a low-profile alloy bracket that will take many conventional outboard mounts; they slide out when not in use. It does depend on you having a bit of a transom in the first place though... I don't think I know what a pro-25 is. Or whether it has enough transom to attach a bracket.
